LED assimilation lighting

LED is becoming very popular as an innovative source of light in international greenhouse horticulture. LED lamps offer great potential. LED lighting is now already 30 to 46 percent more effective. This is because plants absorb the energy radiated by LED easier than the energy from the existing SON-T lamps. The energy saving figures are even more impressive: the difference in comparison with conventional lamps can be as much as eighty percent. LED lamps also easily win the working life comparison with other lamps.

Another important advantage of LED assimilation lighting is that the fittings produce 'convection heat': the air is heated before the plant is heated. This means that an LED assimilation lighting system can be easily installed among the crop. With conventional SON-T lamps, plants are directly heated by means of infrared light.
