Cooling machines
Cooling machines
Using a Certhon cooling machine, you can optimally cool both the soil and the greenhouse air. Two types of cooling machines are available: water cooled and air cooled. A water cooled machine extracts cold from the surface water or from water in an aquifer, whereas an air cooled machine extracts cold from the exterior air. There is also a difference in the performance level of cooling machines. The COP value of a water cooled machine is generally higher than that of an air cooled version. COP stands for 'Coefficient Of Performance', an indicator for the energy efficiency of installations. For example: at a COP value of 4, the cooling unit produces 4 kW of cold for each kW of energy input.
The ideal machine for your crop
There are many different versions and capacities of cooling machines. The Certhon cooling specialists can give you precise advice on the optimum type of cooling machine and installation for your company.
In doing so, we look not only at the initial investment but also at the long-term costs: the operating costs. They very much determine your economic returns. Reliable calculations make it clear where your payback point lies and what returns you can expect.
