11000m² - Testcentre
Improvement Center, The Netherlands
Realisation of a new greenhouse of 11.000 m2 in which tests are carried out on an experimental basis. This project has been delivered turnkey by Certhon. Optimal planning and supervision of the construction have resulted in a high quality greenhouse.We have realized:
- Construction of the greenhouse: the greenhouse has a post height of 6,70 m and is glazed with tempered glass (91% light efficiency).
- Rows of vents have been installed in 13 sections.
- Certhon also took care of the ground work, concrete paths and floors, interior construction, car park and cold store.
- 12 sections have been fitted with both roof screens and gable screens, while 4 sections have 2 rows on a single wire bed
- Heating: the heat pump system with its 717 kW heating capacity can heat 60 to 70% of the greenhouse heat demand by means of underground heat storage. The shortage of required heat is supplied by the adjacent company, Praktijkonderzoek Plant & Omgeving (PPO)
- Greenhouse cooling: the heat pump system with its 622 kW cooling capacity cools the company, in combination with underground storage of cold
- Electrotechnology: the climate control system and the water system are managed by a Priva Intégro computer, including the regulating motors and the sections where various assimilation lighting systems are suspended with their various light levels, patterns and reflectors. There are stand-alone systems for access control, evacuation, malfunction alarm and burglar alarm;
- Water technology: water is stored in tanks covered with Airtop tarpaulins. The (liquid) fertilisers are also stored in tanks. The centre uses a Nutronic dosing unit and Vialux HP-UV disinfection unit. Supply of crop gutters and a drip irrigation system.
