Cooling system for new building of Orchid production 75.000 m2 in total, whereof 32.000 m2 supplied with a JSK cooling system.
 
The specialty of this project is:
Characteristic for the JSK cooling system is that it is a clever air circulation.
The JSK takes in warm air from above the crop. After this warm air is cooled down by the system, the cool air is blown out underneath the crop.
Thanks to the balanced way of blowing out the cool air, a balanced distribution of the cool air is ensured.
It is also possible to heat up the greenhouse with the same system by using low-grade heat.
The JSK’s are equipped with variable speed fans. These are highly energy efficient.
For the production of cool and warm air, a complete heat pump installation is installed with a total capacity of 4.200kw.
In the summer the surplus heat is stored in aquifers. In the wintertime it is the opposite.

We have realized:

• For the new building of a new Orchid production facility Certhon realized here for 32.000 m2 the JSK cooling system to prevent the air temperature to rise above 18 to 20 oC;
• Complete control system of the JSK cooling system;
• Heat pump installation consisting of 3 heat pumps with each having a capacity of 4.200kw;
• Cold storage by means of aquifers;
• Heat storage by means of aquifers;
• 10 wells in the near presence of the company with a total capacity of 360 m3 p/hour;
• Cold storage tank of 2.500 m3.
